Isrotel kedma resort

An oasis in the desert built with Isotex

Among the desert dunes, a hotel has been built completely using the Isotex wood cement building system, not a simple resort, but a unique architectural project of its kind.

It’s the Isrotel Kedma Hotel in Israel, in the Negev desert, along the ancient Spice Road. A place full of charm and a unique landscape.

The Isrotel Kedma Hotel was designed by designer Ruth Arad with the precise aim of creating a hospitable and breathtaking place.

While fitting naturally into such a particular context. This is an oasis in the desert.

Opened in 2020, the hotel covers an area of 6,000 metres squared and consists of seven buildings, in full Khan Nabati style.

163 rooms and suites, a large courtyard with different varieties of fruit trees and plants, a heated swimming pool, restaurants and bars, a luxurious spa with Turkish bath, fitness room and numerous relaxation areas.

Isrotel Kedma Hotel is an ambitious project that has involved several international companies, including our company.

In fact, the property has decided to build the entire resort using the Isotex wood cement building system consisting of formwork blocks and slabs.

The Isotex building system was considered the best possible choice for a number of reasons.

First of all, the excellent thermal insulation, a fundamental feature for a hotel in the middle of the desert, a place where temperatures exceed 40°C by day and plummet sharply at night.

In fact, the Isotex building system has guaranteed perfect thermal inertia, has minimised temperature variations within the structure and this has resulted in absolute comfort for hotel guests and reduced consumption for the property.

Another reason was certainly the sustainability of our products and subsequently seismic safety, fire resistance, acoustic insulation and laying speed.

Loris Chinello, CEO of Isotex Srl, commented on the project as follows:

“The Isrotel Kedma Hotel is an innovative project that encompasses the most advanced construction technologies. For us, it was a great honour to have contributed .”
